Dear Passengers,
Due to recurring airspace restrictions in the Omsk area and the resulting inability to ensure safe and reliable operations in accordance with the published schedule, VIETJET QAZAQSTAN has decided to temporarily suspend flights on the Astana – Omsk – Astana route.
The safety of passengers and crew is the Airline's absolute priority. This decision has been made to ensure flight safety and to minimize the risk of extended delays and forced schedule changes.
Suspension Period
Flights on the Astana – Omsk – Astana route are cancelled from 9 July to 8 August 2026, inclusive. Information regarding subsequent flights will be updated as the situation develops. Passengers affected by these changes will be notified individually using the contact details provided at the time of booking.
The Airline Offers the Following Options
- Full refund of the ticket price with no deductions, including all unused segments of carriage booked within a single reservation.
- In addition, every passenger on a cancelled flight is automatically provided with a voucher worth 10,000 tenge for a future flight with VIETJET QAZAQSTAN.
Full Refund of the Ticket Price
If the alternative route does not suit you, you may request a full refund of the ticket price with no deductions, including all unused transit segments of carriage operated by VIETJET QAZAQSTAN.
The refund is processed at the original point of purchase:
- if the ticket was purchased on the VIETJET QAZAQSTAN website — through the Airline's Contact Center;
- if the ticket was purchased through a travel agency or online travel agency (OTA), please get in touch with the point of purchase.
Voucher for a Future Flight
Every passenger on a cancelled flight is provided with a voucher worth 10,000 tenge.
Terms for receiving and using the voucher:
- the voucher is sent automatically to the email address provided at the time of booking;
- the voucher can be used when purchasing tickets on the official VIETJET QAZAQSTAN website (vietjetqazaqstan.kz);
- the voucher is valid on all flights (except subsidized fares) until December 31, 2026.
